The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.
But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually risen the price of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is making the most of the growing pressure to to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving profitable too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
